The accompanying 8 songs comprise the artistic endeavor entitled KNOB FEATURES. Recorded mostly in Oaxaca Mexico during a visit to check in on my mother in law the last two weeks of February 2021; with instruments found at her establishment/ hotel The Casa Colonial. Also including are field recordings of street sounds like accordion players and Little Caesars commercials with some rapping over top from myself and Murat Dirlik, and finally spoken word by Amanda Barr. Other contributors include Roo Cat and Mike Westbrook. The exception to this scenario is the song Turtle, which was recorded during early COVID lockdown in Chapel Hill late July 2020. It’s pretty wild what you can do with an iPhone these days.
